He held no lands or tenements of ‪Henry V‬ in chief either in demesne or in service. Philip Seyntcler, chevalier , was seised in his demesne as of fee of the

manor of Exceat
and long before his death he granted this to Walter, and his assigns, for life, reversion to Philip and his heirs. Walter was seised until he was expelled by virtue of the inquisition held at Lewes before William Cheyne and his fellow commissioners of ‪Henry V‬ after the death of John son and heir of Philip [not found].
Walter did not die seised of the manor, but it is held of the king of his duchy of Lancaster, honour of Laigle, by fealty only.

He died on 1 November 1421. In the manor there are the site, worth nothing yearly; 20s. assize rents at Easter and Michaelmas in equal portions; 400 a. arable, each acre worth 1d. yearly; and 20 a. meadow, each acre worth 6d. yearly. Ralph Rademelde and Richard Bannebury occupied the manor and took the issues from the date of the earlier inquisition until the day of this inquisition by grant of ‪Henry V‬ by letters patent [CFR 1405–13, p.285]. Thomas Seyntcler is the son and next heir of Philip and was 21 years and more on 25 March last.
