Holdings
He held no lands or tenements in his demesne as of fee or by service of the king in chief or others. He took £6 2s. 3d. from the farm of the city of Canterbury by the bailiffs and citizens there over and above the dower already assigned to Margaret widow of Thomas Whetynden senior and Agnes wife of Thomas Whetynden junior as 1/4 of £30 yearly belonging to Robert Figg as kinsman and heir of John son of William [?recte William son of John] Cundy , i.e. son of Margaret wife of Robert Figg senior , her first husband, one of the daughters of Constance Watership , the third sister of William Cundy . By letters patent [1 Oct. 1355: CPR 1354-8, p. 326] shown to the jurors Edward III gave £30 from the farm of the city, i.e. £10 at Easter and £20 at Michaelmas, to John son of William [?recte William son of John] Cundy of Sandwich in fee by the bailiffs and citizens there.
He died on 22 March last. Joan wife of John Blere of Stourmouth , aged 23 years and more, and Margaret Figg , aged 19 years and more, are his sisters and next heirs.
