Holdings

He held in his demesne as of fee: the manor of Polhampton of the king by escheat of the earl of Aumale who held the manor of the king's ancestors for 1/6 knight's fee. There are there a capital messuage, annual value nil above the upkeep of the buildings; 400 a. demesne arable worth yearly 2 1/2d. an acre, total £4 3s. 4d.; 40 a. pasture worth yearly only 2d. an acre because the pasture is common to all the tenants of the manor at certain times of the year, total 6s.; 8 a. meadow worth yearly 2s. 6d. an acre, total 20s.; 10 a. wood, the underwood of which is worth yearly 3s. 4d.; a warren worth yearly 3s. 4d.; 18d. assize rents; 20s. rent and services of 4 bond tenants yearly; 240 a. several pasture next the king's park of Freemantle of the king in chief for 1/8 knight's fee, annual value 20s. He held in his demesne as of fee tail to him and his heirs male the manor of Stevenbury in Preston Candover, held of the manor of Bradfield in Berkshire for 1d. yearly, as appears by a fine levied in the king's court, and which by his charter, shown to the jurors, he granted to John Marchaunt and his wife Joan and the heirs of their bodies.

He died on 9 April last. William Horewode is his son and next heir, aged 23 years and more.
