She held no lands or tenements in demesne or by service or in reversion of the king or another in the county, but held the manor of Southorpe for life by demise of Philip, Lord Darcy , remainder to Philip and his heirs. The manor is held of the king in chief of his duchy of Lancaster, service unknown, annual value 40s. The manor is charged with a yearly rent of 6 marks to the prior of the hospital of St. John of Jerusalem in England and his brethren at Easter and Michaelmas in equal portions. Robert Turvill, master of the knights of the Temple in England, and his brethren were seised of the rent from time immemorial until the dissolution of the order by ‪ Edward II in 1324, when the property of the order was assigned to Thomas Archer , then prior of the hospital, and his brethren. Thomas and his brethren were put into possession of the rent by Alice Crippelynge , who then held the manor, and all subsequent priors were put into possession of it by Philip and Agnes and by others who held the manor, until Agnes's death on 27 April 1418, when the manor came into the king's hand because of the minority of Elizabeth and Margery, Philip's kinswomen and heirs. By letters patent [not found] the king committed the keeping of the manor to John Pygot and Christopher Boynton , in whose hands it remains, and they have taken the profits from Agnes's death until the taking of this inquisition.
