She held no lands or tenements in her demesne as of fee of the king, of the heir of Richard Veer, earl of Oxford , or of others. Laurence de Pavenham, knight , was formerly seised in his demesne as of fee of the manor of Pavenham and granted it to his son Laurence and Joan Waleys , then Laurence's wife, and the heirs of their bodies, remainder to Laurence the father. Laurence the son and Joan were seised in fee tail and Laurence died without issue by Joan, who remained seised. On the death of Laurence the father the remainder descended to Katharine wife of Thomas de Aylesbury, knight , and Eleanor wife of John Tyryngham as daughters and heirs of Laurence de Pavenham, knight . Eleanor died and the remainder of her moiety descended to her son and heir John Tyryngham , a minor in the king's wardship Joan Waleys died seised and the manor therefore descended to Katharine and John as the right heirs of Laurence de Pavenham, knight . She also held the manor of Brache in which there are 100 a. arable, of which 2/3 are worth 30s. yearly at 6d. an acre and 1/3 nil because it lies fallow and in common; 4 a. meadow worth 5s. yearly at 15d. an acre; 3 a. wood, annual value only 40d. because there is no underwood; £17 13s. 4d. assize rents at the Annunciation and Michaelmas in equal portions from free and customary tenants; and a water-mill, annual value only 40s. because it is ruinous.
