Holdings

He held in his demesne as of fee the manor of Ellastone of Humphrey de Stafford , son and heir of Edmund, earl of Stafford , a minor in the king's wardship, for 1/4 knight's fee, annual value 8 marks.

He died on 16 Sept. 1415. Ralph Langeford is his son and next heir, aged 21 years and more on 27 Oct. last.

John Aslby, formerly surveyor and feodary of Queen Joan , took the profits from Nicholas's death until 16 Feb. 1419, by what title is unknown. By letters patent of Queen Joan dated 16 Feb. 1419 Peter de Pole took the profits from then until the taking of this inquisition.
