Holdings

Long before his death he was seised in demesne as of fee of the manor of Draycot Cerne, held of the king in chief by serjeanty of paying £7 6s. 8d. yearly at the Annunciation to the sheriff of Wiltshire. By his charter dated at Draycot Cerne 19 March 1413 he granted the manor to Ralph Boteler and John Bonde for the service owed, the king's licence having been obtained [5 March 1413: CPR 1408-13, p. 469, which also licensed the regrant]. Ralph and John by their charter dated at Draycot Cerne 11 May 1413, the king's licence having been obtained [see above], granted the manor, annual value 10 marks above the aforesaid rent, to Edward, his wife Isabel and their heirs. Edward died seised jointly with Isabel, who survives.

He died on 6 Dec. last. Richard Cerne , son of Edward and Isabel, is his next heir, aged 7 years on 6 Aug. last.
