He and his wife Maud, who survives, held to themselves and the heirs male of their bodies the manor of Hessle and 4 messuages, 60 a. arable, 30 a. meadow, 10 a. pasture and 20s. rent in Hessle, a messuage and 8 bovates in Hutton Cranswick, 3 messuages, 4 bovates and 20d. rent in North Dalton, 6s. 8d. annual rent from a tenement formerly Roger Ruston 's in Beverley, and 7s. annual rent from a tenement formerly John Cotyngham 's in Beverley by gift and feoffment of John Dyghton, formerly rector of Lowthorpe , and John atte Westhende, clerk , as appears by a charter shown to the jurors and dated at Beverley 16 Jan. 1403. He also held the manor of Wilton in Pickering and by a charter shown to the jurors and dated at Wilton on 24 March 1414 by the name of John Hothom of Scorborough enfeoffed John Aske , William Roscelyn , Thomas Neusom , John Ellerker and John Lyndale . He also held in his demesne as of fee the manors of Scorborough, Thorpe and Marton, 14 messuages, 8 cottages, 8 crofts, 30 bovates, 12 a. meadow and 13s. 4d. rent in Lockington, 30 messuages, 24 tofts, 20 crofts, 260 a. arable, 40 a. meadow, 20 a. pasture, 60 a. moor and 40s. rent in Hutton Cranswick, Birdsall and Easthorpe, in all of which by his charter dated at Scorborough 1 June 1415 he enfeoffed John Routh, knight , John Aske, esquire , John Fisskirton, canon of Watton and rector of Lockington , William Roscelyn , John Ellerker , Thomas Neusom , John Lyndale and John Horne .
