Henry de Carleton of Lincoln died holding in his demesne in fee tail 28s. assize rent in Carlton in Lindrick by the grant of John de Loudeham, knight , to Thomas de Carleton, clerk, father of Henry, and the heirs of his body. It is held of the king in chief in socage by a rent of 6d. or a pair of gilt spurs by the sheriff at Michaelmas.
Henry also held in his demesne as of fee to himself and his heirs the manor of `Kyngeston' in Carlton in Lindrick, a messuage called `Whythall' and a carucate, of Henry Fitzhugh, lord of that manor , by the custom of the manor by a rent of 23s. 10d. payable at the Annunciation and the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary by equal parts and by suit of court every three weeks and a relief of 2s. to the heirs on entry to the manor.
