Holdings

Elizabeth, widow of Hugh Gay of Coventry and formerly of John Clyfford , died on 25 February 1411. During her life John's son and heir William granted the reversion after her death of a yearly rent of 20s., payable at Easter and Michaelmas in equal portions, issuing from a piece of land called `Horwelfeld' containing 12 a. now in the tenure of William Coteler of Coventry, which she held in dower by William's assignment, to William Dylcok of Coventry and his heirs, by virtue of which grant Elizabeth and William Coteler attorned to William Dylcok, who has received the rent since her death. William also granted the reversion after her death of 2 messuages and 2 virgates worth 6s. in Ashow which she held in dower by his assignment to Henry Symson of Kenilworth and his heirs, by virtue of which she attorned to Henry Symson. John Cook of Ashow is now seised of the messuages and lands by grant of Henry.
