In the form of a writ of diem clausit extremum, save that it is addressed to Stephen Derneford by name, with no mention of his office as escheator.

He held in his demesne in fee tail by the grant of Elizabeth widow of John Sergeaux to hold to him as John Herlee junior and his wife Margaret , who predeceased him, and the heirs of their bodies:

Tywardreath, the manor, of the king of the castle of Launceston of the duchy of Cornwall by knight service, annual value 40 marks;
Week St. Mary, the manor, and the advowson of Jacobstow, of Thomas Collan in free socage, annual value 30s.;
Trelawney, the manor, of John Cornewaill, knight, and his wife Elizabeth in her right of the castle of Trematon by knight service, annual value 20 marks;
Porthallow, 7 messuages and 1 a. Cornish, of William Palton, knight, of his manor of Lanteglos in socage, annual value 5 marks;

He died on 11 April last. John son of John Herlee and Margaret is his next heir, aged 21 years on 5 Feb. last.

He died on 14 April last. Heir as in 91.
