Holdings

In right of his wife Cecily, who survives, he held the manor and advowson of Oldbury on the Hill with appurtenances in Oldbury and Didmarton. They are not held of the king, but of whom and by what service is unknown, annual value 10 marks.

He died on 11 Oct. 1416. Thomas, son of Henry and Cecily, is his next heir and aged 17 years and more.

Cecily has held and taken the profits since his death.

of the king in chief as 1/20 knight's fee and by a rent of 13s. 4d. at Michaelmas, annual value beyond that 26s. 8d.
Similarly he held a messuage and a carucate, meadow and pasture in Poulshot of Thomas, late earl of Arundel , of his manor of Keevil as 1/6 knight's fee. It is now in the king's hand, and was so when he died, annual value 40s.
Similarly he held a messuage and a virgate in Brigmerston. They are not held of the king, but of whom and by what service is unknown, annual value 8s.
Jointly with his wife Cecily he held the manor of Yatesbury by the grant of William Bakere, clerk , and Thomas Kirkeby by a fine as in 39. It is not held of the king but of whom and by what service is unknown, annual value 100s.
Also jointly they held the manor of Burden's Ball, by the grant of William Alysaundre by another fine [CP 25/1/256/58, no. 5], to them, the heirs of their bodies and the right heirs of Cecily. It is held of the abbess of Wilton , service unknown, annual value £10.
Also jointly they held a messuage, 15 a. arable and 2 a. meadow in Newton Tony, and a virgate in Allington by the grant of Robert Burdon , Richard Lambard , William Algar, clerk , William Upton , Hugh Mortimer , Thomas Lauton and Henry Yakeslegh , by their charter shown to the jurors.

Long before his death Henry gave to Henry, bishop of Winchester , Walter Meteford,clerk, and others the manor and advowson of Boscombe. They still hold.
