Holdings

Nicholas Potyn, esquire , formerly held the manor of East Hall and granted it to Thomas Seintleger and Juliana his wife, Arnold Savage, knight , William Makenade and the heirs of Thomas by royal licence [CPR 1416–22, p.126]. Thomas Arnold and William died. Juliana died seised of it of the king in chief by knight service, annual value £10.

Elmyng Leget and Margery his wife formerly held 1 messuage and 400 a. marsh in Elmley in their demesne as of fee and gave them by royal licence [CPR 1385–9, p.145] to Thomas Seintleger and Juliana formerly his wife, Thomas Brokhell , Stephen Norton of Chart, William Makenade , John Kelsham and the heirs of Thomas Seintleger . He gave a yearly rent of £8 from them to Henry Auger , Joan his wife, and the heirs of their bodies. They are held of the king in chief by knight service, annual value beyond the rent 20s. The others died and Juliana held them.

William Makenade and Richard Lentwardyn, clerk , formerly held the manor of Otterden in their demesne as of fee, and granted it by charter, shown to the jurors, to Thomas Seintleger and Juliana formerly his wife and his heirs. It is held of the prior of St. John of Jerusalem in England of his manor of Stalisfield and of William Clifford, esquire , of his manor of Sutton Valence, services unknown, annual value 5 marks.

Juliana died on 29 Jan. last. John de Cobham, esquire , her son and next heir is aged 40 years and more.

The manors etc. descended to Joan wife of John Ewyas, esquire , one daughter and heir of Thomas, aged 32 years and more, and William son of Thomas Fogg, junior , and Eleanor his wife, the other daughter and heir, aged 20 on 1 Nov.
