He held the manor of Sutton upon Trent called ‘Bertram Monboucher’ in his demesne as of fee of the honor of Richmond, service unknown, annual value 5s.8d. and no more because burdened with a rent of 10 marks payable by equal parts at Whitsun and Michaelmas to Isabel daughter of Bertram Monboucher, knight , now wife of Robert Harebotell , for life by the grant of Bertram Monboucher, knight , the father of Bertram, by his deed dated at Sutton on 20 Dec. 1386 ; and 5 marks rent payable to Elizabeth widow of Bertram Monboucher , now the wife of Roger Fulthorp , for her life.

Bebside, 3 husbandlands, all held of the barony of Whalton in socage, annual value 20 marks.

Cramlington, 2 husbandlands.

Jesmond, a 4th part of the manor, in the king’s hands, held of the king as 1 knight’s fee, annual value 20s.

Weldon, 4 husbandlands, held of Henry Percy, earl of Northumberland of the barony of Vescy in socage, annual value 20s.

Embleton, 2 husbandlands, held of the king of the duchy of Lancaster, annual value 20s.

Elswick, 3 husbandlands in the king’s hands, of the prior of Tynemouth in socage, annual value 13s.4d.

Thirston, 2 parts … husbandlands … held of Henry Percy of Athol, knight , of the lordship of Mitford, service unknown, annual value 20s.

He held in his demesne as of fee the manors of Hammerden, Filsham, Cortesley and Morley which his father held of Henry IV . A 3rd part was assigned to Elizabeth widow of Bertram in dower. All are held of Ralph earl of Westmorland of the honor of Richmond by knight service, annual values of the two parts, Hammerden £9 4s., Filsham £8 9s., Cortesley 32s.3d. and Morley 11s.8d.
