Owing to the death of John Barnak, knight , and the minority of Edmund brother and heir of John his son, the manor of Hallaton came into the hands of Henry IV and remains in the present king’s hands. It is held of the king in chief by knight service of the honor of Peverel, annual value £20.
Edmund died on 19 Aug. 1415. Mary and Joan, daughters of John, are his sisters and heirs, aged 14 years and more and 10 years and more.
