CONSTANCE WHO WAS THE WIFE OF THOMAS LORD DESPENSER

Constance was restored by Henry IV in Parliament at Westminster, 1404, and permitted to sue her dower, notwithstanding Thomas's forfeiture [CCR 1413–19, pp. 174-5]

Kymberworth: a chamber in the site of the manor, at the end of the principal chamber, with buildings annexed thereto underneath, to the west; 1/3 of the kitchen, ?granary, stable, and building called ‘le Oxenhouse’ in the courtyard (curia) (? ie 1/3 of this?), and another building at the end of the stable; a third of the courtyard, to the south, with the ?wall.

Item, ‘le Waweworthfeldes’, rendering yearly 33s. 4d., from which she renders yearly to the heir 18d. 1/3 of 2/3 of the park, and the woods of the same in the west part. 1/3 of 2/3 of the foreign woods of the lordship to the west. 1/3 of 2/3 of two mills, viz. grain (granar’) and fulling, and the profits of the same, she to bear her share of costs and burdens during her life. 1/3 of 2/3 of the court(s) (cur’) of the lordship and their profits, paying the ... fee(s) of the officer(s). 1/3 of 2/3 of all boons and works (precariis & operibus) owed by the tenants.
