He held the manor of Keynes Court in Purton for life by the grant of John Cressy , deceased, with reversion to himself and his heirs, of the abbot of Malmesbury , service unknown, annual value 100s.

John son of John Cressy, a minor in the king’s ward, is heir of John being the brother of Thomas son of John, aged 6 years and more.

William Brantyngham died on 15 July last without heirs.

Holdings

He held the manor of Dodford, except for the free tenants living outside the vill, for life, half by the grant of John Cressy to him and the other half by the grant of the same to him and Joan, his late wife, both with the above exception and with reversion to John Cressy and his heirs. It is held of the king of the honor of Leicester by knight service, annual value £40. Christina widow of John Cressy holds a 3rd part in dower.

The jurors know of no holdings except the manor of Oxhill of which he disseised Lewis Cardygan and Alice his wife in the time of Richard II , Alice being the rightful tenant. He held it until he enfeoffed John Brantyngham and his heirs. John held and showed his charter of seisin to the jurors, but Lewis and Alice had ejected him. It is held of the king in chief, service unknown, annual value 100s. William Brantyngham had no rights in the manor after the enfeoffment.

He died on 15 July last. John his heir is aged 30 years and more.
