AGNES WIDOW OF WILLIAM ATTE MILLE

293 Writ, plenius certiorari. ‡ 11 April 1407 [Leyc’].

Addressed to Richard Whityngton, mayor and escheator. The king has been given to understand that Agnes had in hereditary right at her death various lands and tenements in the parish of St Michael le Querne, held of the king in burgage, and pertaining to the king as escheat becase she died without heir.

Addressed to Richard Merlowe, mayor. The king has been given to understand that the lands and tenements of Agnes, who was the wife of William atte Mille of London, ‘juelere’, in the parish of St Michael le Querne pertain to the king as an escheat because she died without heir. Inquire of what tenements she died seised and if she died without heir.
