John Hadle and Thomasia his wife held the manor of Milton by Gravesend in their demesne as of fee and granted it by charter to Reynold Cobham of Randall, knight , by the name of Reynold Cobham, esquire , and Elizabeth his wife. They had bought it jointly with Arnold Savage, knight , and John Seint Germayn , citizen and grocer of London , from William Daubeney , William Goldyngton and Peter Taddelowe , being formerly of Simon Beverle, knight , in exchange for all those lands and tenements which Reynold and Elizabeth held in Stepney, Hackney, Stratford and Langthorns and elsewhere in Middlesex and Essex which were formerly held by Thomas Morice , grandfather of Reynold. So he died seised in his demesne as of fee of the manor of Milton jointly with Elizabeth, who is still living.
He died on 12 Oct. last . Thomas his son and heir is aged 9 years and more.
