Chichester, 1 cottage outside the East Gate, annual value 2s.; 1 tenement in East Street next the tenement of William Neel , nil because totally waste; 1 messuage in North Street next St. Olave’s church on the north, nil because ruinous; 1 messuage there formerly of William atte Hoke , 2s.; 1 toft formerly of John Pleystowe , 4d.; 1 cottage opposite the church of St. Peter the Great, 2s.; and 1 croft outside the North Gate in the liberty called ‘Honycroft’, containing 15 a. at 8d., 10s.; all held of the king in free burgage by a rent of 15s.3d. at Hockday and suit of court in the city each fortnight, with relief after the death of each tenant, and similarly whenever there is an alienation according to the custom of the city.

Westhampnett, the manor, of which the site is worth nothing yearly; 2 gardens of 1 1/2 a., 2s.; 1 dovecot, 5s.; 95 a. at 4d.; 16 a. of separate pasture at 4d.; and 1 watermill, nil; held of lord de Seynt Johan of his manor of Halnaker by a rent of 13s.4d. and suit of court every three weeks. Also in Hampnett 1 messuage, nil because totally waste; a dovecot, 3s.4d.; a garden of 1 1/2 a., 2s.; and 100 a. at 6d.; held of the same lord by knight service; and of the prior of Boxgrove 1 toft and 21 a. by a rent of 14s. and 1 lb. pepper at the 4 terms, worth nothing beyond the rent.

He was accustomed to render for those lands to the bishop of Exeter 5s. and to the prior of Shulbrede 6 s., but for which parcels is unknown.

Eartham, 1 messuage, annual value nil because ruinous; a garden of 1/2 a., 12d.; 36 a. at 3d.; and 4 a. pasture at 3d.; of the earl of Arundel of his manor of Bignor, service unknown.

He died on 9 April. Thomas his son and heir was aged 20 years and more on 1 Aug.
