He held in his demesne as of fee:

Fulbourn, 1 rood, of the king in chief by knight service, annual value 2d.

Shardelowes manor in Fulbourn, of the Earl Marshal and of the tenants of ‘Souches’ manor in Fulbourn, service unknown, annual value 10 marks.

Fulbourn, 3 roods, of the tenants of Colvyll manor, by knight service, annual value 6d.

He died on 19 July 1399 . John his son and heir is aged 1 1/2 years and more.

Holdings

Robert Shardelowe, knight, held of Richard II in chief:

a rood of land in Fulburn, worth 2d. yearly;

a manor called ‘Shardelowes maner’, in the said vill, held of the Earl Marshal, and of the tenants of the manor of ‘Souchesmaner’ in the said vill, worth 10 marks yearly;

3 roods of land in the same vill, held of the manor of ‘Coluyles maner’ in the same vill, worth 6d. yearly.

He died on 19 July 1399. [Heir not specified.]

Margaret, wife of Robert, occupied the said lands and manor from that day until Michaelmas last, and received the profits.

This inquisition was not published in the print volume of CIPM XVIII, although it was mentioned in a note (now deleted) at the end of no. 116.
