He held by knight service of the heir of Walter Romesye, and of the heir of Thomas Treuet, both of whom held in chief and are minors in the king’s ward.

Holdings

He held the manor of Catcott in his demesne as of fee of Thomas Romesye , kinsman and heir of Walter Romesye , that is son of Thomas son of Walter, in the king’s ward, and of John Vernay , Robert Orcherd , John Pokeswellys , John Wyveliscombe, senior , and Christina wife of Richard Clopton , heir of Thomas Tryvet deceased, by knight service, annual value 10 marks.

He also held the manor of East Harptree, with its members of Eastwood, Coley, Shrowle and Sherborne, for life by the courtesy of England in right of Joan formerly his wife, of Elizabeth widow of Edward le Spencer of the honour of Gloucester by knight service, annual value £20.

He died on 9 March. Alice wife of William Hampton , the daughter and next heir of Walter and Joan his late wife, is aged 25 years and more.
