She held the manor, house, or priory of Beckford for life, except certain lands and tenements in Lincolnshire commonly called the manor of Colsterworth, parcel of the priory, with reversion to the king and heirs in right of the crown of England. Beckford, the manor, house, or priory. It is an alien priory or possession, and parcel of the monastery of St Barbara in Normandy. It is held of the king in chief by knight service. During the time of Richard II, the prior and convent of Beckford demised the manor, house, or priory to John Cheyne of Beckford, knight , and to Margaret then his wife, for their lives.
John died seised of this estate, and Margaret afterwards too died so seised on 19 June last. The manor should revert to the king in right of the crown of England by virtue of the Statute of Leicester 1414.
