She held in dower the manor of Hampton Wafer of the inheritance of Hugh Mortymer, a minor in the king’s wardship. In the manor there are a messuage, worth nothing yearly; 26s. assize rents at Michaelmas and Lady Day in equal portions; a water-mill, worth 13s. 4d. yearly; 60 a. arable, worth 20s. yearly; and 20 a. pasture, worth 20s. yearly. The manor is held of the king in chief by knight service.
She died on 12 September last.
[Attached:] Delivered to me, Ralph Poxsall , Keeper of the Tower of London, by the below-mentioned J. Spilman and Christopher, 22 June 1529. This inquisition void because insufficient in law being insufficiently indented according to the form of the statute. Therefore, at the court of the Chancery called for this purpose before John Spylman , one of the king’s serjeants-at-law, and Christopher Hales, king ’s attorney, and others experienced in the Privy Council (aliorum peritorum de consilio dicti domini Regis), it is considered to be cancelled and to stand for nothing.
